Wedding #1

Our Zoom wedding ceremony went as well as could be reasonably expected and we are now legally married! The minister gave us a video but our webcam isn't especially nice, so the pictures we took definitely look nicer. We had a wonderful day and we are looking forward to celebrating with everyone in September.

Remembering Mama

Dear Kathie
Thank you for your message. That is sad news. She mentioned in her last letter that she had fallen and so I was a bit worried to hear that. I hope her passing was peaceful. It was nice to reconnect with her a bit after our lunch with all of that generation. Was amazing to see her still smart as a tack and knew everybody.
Do you have my father’s email - I am sure he would like the news too. His is ro hoyer30 @ gmail.com

Dear Kathie and Rubén,

I enjoyed getting the cards from your mother. Made me remember when we used to visit when we were young. I enjoyed your house where there were not so many boys and the laughter. Enjoyed the Christmas cards your dad made with photos of you kids. A bit intimidated by your mom and her quick wit and feared she might make us play the piano (poorly). It's sad to see that generation go along with their stories.

I am glad that your mother died peacefully and that you could give her a hug.

Your mother was a special gift of God as was your father.

I am thanking God for that gift and rejoicing in the Resurrection Reality!

I am afraid that there is more paper in the mail yet headed toward the Sannois apartment ... it sounds as tho your mother, much like your Uncle George was fond of saving.

Please share this note with your brother and sisters and ‘theirs’ along with my deep sympathy and certainty that the peace which your folks, mine and your cousin Barbie know now passes human understanding.
