It was great to see you all via zoom...
Here are the screenshots I took. I figured I'd include them all because in each one some look awesome and some look like they were caught off guard. I suppose we could photo shop it into one awesome family portrait. Maybe that will have to wait for the family reunion next spring/summer!
As we told you via email and on the zoom, Richard had to isolate for 5 days from Monday Dec. 20 when he tested + after his Lawrence Hall colleagues let him know they'd caught the bug. I was at the same Holiday Party and lucked out. J & G were also negative. So I had a week of sleeping on the airbed in the study. Then R's home test was still + on Christmas Eve so we couldn't go to church together. When he went to urgent care on Monday they told him even tho the test was + he wasn't contagious but the kids and I should get tested. Ha. Wish we hadn't. Mine was positive so now I have to quarantine! G is still negative and J decided he preferred not to know. So this put a dent into our entire two weeks of family fun -- but at least we haven't had any symptoms....
We just managed an amazing coup: we bit the bullet to buy Gigi's birthday gift iPhone to replace her old iPhone 6 -- and somehow the sales person gave me $250 off, more than half the price, even though I kept saying I didn't have the promo code he was talking about. Richard and Gigi just went out to do some shopping. We're going to have another "Christmas" on New Year's Eve when Gigi's roommate Isabella is here visiting since Richard wasn't allowed in the shops all last week.
It was great seeing all your faces and the new grandbaby and hearing everyone's news.
