Just back from an after lunch walk - quite a few neighbors out with kids or walking dogs - a sunny day finally and we can turn off the furnace and open windows. Our neighbors have been emailing suggestions about using christmas candles in the windows as a message of hope (there's even a poster to print out and display) and others are leaving out bins of chalk so you can write happy thoughts on the sidewalk. Then we came across this display... Jackson says: "So the neighbors see two choices to react, the chalk or the graveyard."

Meanwhile on the home front, Gigi just got an email from Knox saying school will be "online only" for the entire semester - which I was expecting but she really was hoping to hear otherwise. She's really devastated.
