I've been meaning to post this...
A while ago I started reading a children's series by LM Boston called The Green Knowe Series. A memoir I was reading mentioned it -- have you ever heard of it? The author bought a Norman Manor House dating from the 1130s -- all of her books are set there. Anyway, in her memoir she talks about hosting concerts for soldiers stationed nearby (cheifly to conteract suspicions she was a spy.) These two pages discribe listening to Isobel Baille. It gave me goosebumps -- I showed it to Jill and we both felt like a person we'd always thought of as imaginary was suddenly historically proved!
