We had a marvelous time in St. Louis. The weather was nice, we got to see lots of people, and we spent lots of time en famille. We got in at 7 AM on Friday the 13th, and sweet-talked Lucie and Ruben to come over for the afternoon, and Alex had a marvelous time tiring Lucie out.
On Saturday we went out to the Magic House with Jan and Lucie, and had a fun time. And we all enjoyed a nice sandwich afterwards at First Watch. Mom cooked a Spinach Casserole with a marvelous Ambrosia Cake for dessert. And I spent sometime installing a new hard drive for Jan.
On Sunday I was feeling a bit poorly, but Alex was well behaved at church, even shaking Andrew's hand and asking him a question. Then we took mom out for her not-birthday party to the Pasta House which was an enjoyable time. We even brought home a melange of 3 different kinds of marinara sauce. And then I installed some memory into Jan's computer.
Monday we had a marvelous lunch and yak at the Barrios', admiring Lucie's greek theatre and eating too much creamed herring to do justice to the soup w/ gnocci and pasta and salad. Then Sue and Alex went off to see her friend Sandra, and later I went out to see Cindy and Gary.
And then early in the morning we were off to the airport, getting in at noon, and not able to find Sue's purse! But as i was driving Alex off to his gymnastics class, Sue called me up to say she found it in the pink backpack that we had both searched!. At least it's found and we did not have to cancel the credit cards. And the nice lady at the car park only charged us for the time we were in the parking structure, and not some exorbitant you-lost-your-ticket price.
so we're safe and sound, and hope to hear from you all!
